My husband took me out to dinner Friday night. We walked into a room filled with about 25 friends shouting “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” and saw camcorders and cameras everywhere. I was very shocked and happy. We had appetizers and cocktails and more cocktails.

I got several ‘over the hill’ gifts because most of my friends are in their mid twenty’s so they really enjoyed getting over the hill stuff. I got a book on how to age gracefully, a coffee mug that says Kiss My Ass I’m 40!, a book Sex After Forty that had blank pages, anti-aging cream, and lots more fun stuff.

There was a huge balloon bouquet so I got the bright idea to pass out balloons so everyone could suck helium and say something funny. It was hilarious, and I proved that I am still young and stupid!

My husband had me close my eyes while he lead me to the cake. It was a Bentley, my favorite car!!! It was unbelievable. The license plate was a Nevada plate that read 40 and the fondant was a pearl white. It was made by Freeds Bakery who is known for preparing cakes for celebrities in town. I felt special : )

On the way home I checked my blackberry because I saw I had missed 3 calls. It was Cartman singing happy birthday and then Mr. Hand & Mr. Garrison called and then Beavis & Butthead AKA: our friend Sal who is the funniest man on earth second to my husband of course.

It was the best surprise of my life. We all had a great time and I am going to share pics on flickr next week.
