Pre 40 check up
Ok, I’ll be the big ‘not 39 anymore’ next month. URGH It is also the time of year for me to go to the Dr. for all of that fun stuff. I went in Tuesday for all my test results. Everything was good! Bad cholesterol was 55 points high, good cholesterol was only 3 points high and everything else was perfect! Heart disease runs in my family like nothing you have ever heard of so i was exceptionally happy.
The weight wasn’t so good, gotta get a few pounds off. The diet started Monday actually. I have been looking for a fad diet for the past 7-8 years and i have finally found the answer….calorie counting and exercise. yuk There is a girl at work that has lost 23 lbs doing that. What the heck, I can do it too!
I am limited to 1200 - 1500 calories per day. Every morning so far I have had a lean pocket (lack of time), lunch is subway, or soup or some other kind of sandwich, yogurt & cottage cheese, etc. For a snack before or after dinner I will have a cup of hot herbal tea and a blueberry crumpet.
I have to admit, last night I went to bed a little hungry and this morning my stomach was growling. In a sick kind of way i liked it! It meant that I wasn’t stuffing myself and that I was eating to survive. It has been a long time since I have felt a grumble in the tummy.
