Credit on Daddy’s Account
When my brother Wayne and I were small children we were very poor and times were hard. We had a credit account at Sally & Loren’s grocery store. Wayne and I would stop by on our way home from school and get candy and pop. One month the grocery bill was very high so dad asked Sally why this one month the bill was so high. She was quick to inform him that Wayne and I had been buying an outrageous amount of junk. Dad put a stop to that and every time Wayne or I bought something, Sally would put on the ticket “by Wayne” or “by Pat”. Hence, ending our binging on junk.
