I had a job interview today at my current place of employment. It is selling advertising on our website and I am thrilled!
I love my current job but I am a geek and selling web space is where I need to be!

I had to ask my Manager if I could interview for the position and that was hard! I like him and respect him but I was scared that he wouldn’t let me go! I know he can’t or wouldn’t keep me from moving but I was scared! He told me to “go for it and if it doesn’t work out, no harm, no foul”. I was pleased to hear it.


After a few weeks I got an informal interview set up for today at 3:30. I didn’t tell anyone where I was going and hoped I wouldn’t be missed. The interview was in the same building and same floor, just another department. My potential new Manager and I were wrapping up and I was standing at the door with my hand on the door knob when I saw my current Manager walk by! I wanted to die! I feel guilty but I really, really want that job!

I won’t know until the week of the 5th. I’ll post more when I hear.
