Annabelle woke me up at 2am today. She was running around the bedroom and whining. I thought “Finally! She’s potty trained and has to go outside!” I got up and opened the bedroom door and told her to go on outside (she has a doggy door). I went back to bed. She kept waking me up with her whining for the next hour.


Finally, I picked her up and put her beside me on the bed. When I was holding her I noticed that her back was very hot, like she was sweating. I then saw by her shadow that her mouth was wide open! She had the end of a rawhide bone stuck in her mouth. I got took her to the bathroom and pulled it out, washed my hands and went back to bed. She watched me as I threw the rawhide in the trashcan in the bathroom. She really loves those things and I no sooner got to bed and had to get up again because she was digging through the trash. In my sleepy state, I almost flushed it but decided to just place it on the cabinet until morning. She let me sleep until 6:15!
